Two Left Ears is a handcrafted pet color company that focuses on strong colors made of quality fabric based in Seneca, South Carolina.
Our team worked with Two Left Ears in a rebranding effort for the Phoenix Challenge competition. We redesigned the logo and brand guide and designed, printed, and converted tags, stickers/labels, branding collateral, a gift bag, and package with a shipper sleeve.
The packaging was printed on paperboard with one side coated using the Flexography process. Five ink decks were used for each side of the packaging: the four brand colors plus a base layer of white to showcase the color on the brown background of the uncoated side and the four brand colors with a spot varnish to add texture on the coated side.
Both the gift back and product box were printed double sided and had to be rerun through the inline flexographic press to print on the other side. This created a challenge with registration so the patterns used on the inside of the bag and box were designed as floods so there would not be unprinted areas inside the packaging from being misregistered from the other side.
